Why is Student Pro so cheap?
Because we're built for international students, and €5/month is roughly the price of one coffee a week. If Aula saves you on a single exam, it pays for itself for a year.
What if I don't want a subscription?
Buy the Lifetime plan — €129 one-time. You'll be asked to provide your own API key from Groq, OpenAI, or Anthropic. We don't pay for inference, you do (a few cents per hour). No subscription, ever.
Does Aula work in person, or only on Zoom?
Both. Aula captures your microphone for in-person lectures, and your system audio for Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or any browser tab. The lecturer doesn't need to install anything.
Will my audio leave my laptop?
On Free and Pro plans, transcription and translation happen in the cloud (encrypted in transit, never stored). On Enterprise, you get on-device privacy mode — nothing leaves your machine. Required for FERPA / GDPR / HIPAA buyers.
Where do my transcripts and study packs live?
By default, on the device you used. Free users keep everything in this browser / Mac — clearing cache wipes them, so click Library → Export for backup. Mac users can flip on iCloud Drive sync (free, in Library) and your library auto-syncs across all your Macs. Paid users get full cloud sync — your library follows you across devices, browsers, and platforms.
Do I need to create an account?
No signup form, no password. If you buy a paid plan, you'll get a magic link in the email Stripe collected — click it once to activate Aula on each device. That's it.
Can I get a refund?
Yes — 14-day no-questions-asked refund on every paid plan. Including Lifetime.
